Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and writer. Raised by her mother throughout the USA she faced numerous racial insults and made her feel being unwelcome. She began to gain confidence at the age of nineteen when she appeared in an audition. She was praised for her singing. It not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed her goals for the future. She was a graduate of New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. The following year, she appeared as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC the show, she received more fame. Apart from having a cult following as a singer, she also released her own solo album and an extended piece. Also, she's an activist and fights in the fight for LGBT rights.
