David-Muir
David Muir (born August 25, 1949) is an American journalist, anchor and reporter. He is most well-known for his show World News Tonight. Through its animated movements and dramatic videos of celebrity chatter, his program is now America's top-rated newscast. He is also known for his Emmy-nominated program Made In America. He was his predecessor Diane Sawyer's main replacement anchor prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight. In recent years the anchor has been on numerous ABC News primetime specials including Breaking Point Heroin in America. He's traveled all over across the globe covering stories that concern Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti and the Gulf of Mexico. He has received numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards as well as numerous honours and prizes by The Associated Press.
